We recently ate at the local Longhorn in Georgetown, TX. Our food was really good and the service was too. Thank you Karl ! (we had Karl serve us before and he seemed a little "new", but this time he was awesome!) Karl was attentive, but not annoying ! He kept my iced tea glass full....smart guy ! Got our orders right and I do usually have a few extra requests. We had a really nice experience. We used to drive to Austin to get a good steak, but honestly with the mess Austin is in....have you seen the very sad homeless issue and high crime.....we plan to stay and enjoy and "eat local" as much as we can. Plus, less traffic and nice people. And, good food ! I had a grilled over the open fire chicken breast, sweet potato and broccoli. The hubby had a steak and the same veggies. We were both happy with our dinner. Thanks Longhorn ! See you again soon. and, shout out to a server named Amy who checked brought our food out. Karl was slammed as they were busy. She has an amazing personality.
One of the best ribeyes in Texas! And might we recommend the strawberry 🍓 and feta salad, because the light dressing on that was fantastic and tasty. And get the strawberry shortcake or molten lava chocolate for dessert. Heck, get both. Strawberries are the best thing on the planet after chocolate.
The Georgetown location I've found hit or miss. Unfortunately over half the time I've been to this location their large cuts of meat are tough! And no matter how well cooked it is, a good steak starts with a good cut of meat! The Cedar park location tends to have better meat selection I guess as I've never had a tough Outlaw there!
Dinner for the 3 of us was great! Steaks were great for my daughter and myself! On point for her med rare and mine was a little more on the rare side. Not complaining one bit. Sides were really good as well. We'll definitely be back!
This restaurant is usually crowded and sometimes a short wait before being seated. The food is always good and portions are nice sized. I especially love the Chicken Fried Steak. Excellent and what one would expect from a steak house. Prices are reasonable.
